29 November, 26th Basler Stadtlauf
On November 29 at 5.00 pm, the first of several thousand runners will be starting to the 26 th edition of the Basler Stadtlauf. The attractive route leads through the Inner City with its sparkling Christmas lights and decorations.
31 December New Years Eve in Basel
On New Year's Eve the public will have the opportunity for the ninth time to see a big firework display above the Rhine and they will be offered free "Glühwein" along the boards of the Rhine. A traditional and more contemplative New Year's Eve ceremony will be held on the Münsterplatz

The Theater Basel is proud to offer an "English Abo" for the season 2008: Three plays in English, two operas and a ballet evening. The three plays to be presented are all productions of the English Theater, they were produced in London and will be presented in Basel with an excellent cast. The two operas and the ballet evening are productions of the Theater Basel. It would be our pleasure to welcome you to the Theater Basel.

This is a friendly group who meet every Monday to do walks in Basel and the Northwest region of Switzerland. The walks are chosen by the group and are of different lengths and difficulty. More information under www.centrepoint.ch
Wine Tasters at American Women's Club
The Wine Tasters (ladies only) generally meet at a member’s home on the third Tuesday evening of the month to taste and learn about wines from around the globe - European, New World, and American. The AWC Wine Tasting group is one of the club’s longest existing interest groups – it’s beginnings go back to the 1980’s when several AWC members who were wine aficionados decided to get together to expand their knowledge via a tasting group.
